Industry insiders and enthusiasts have always tried to establish which of the components of an audio system is most relevant to the final result. Opinions or worse, certainties have always alternated and succeeded one another, rewarding and supporting with arguments that are not always noteworthy, now this, now that component.
Far from wanting to be bearers of similar certainties, we nevertheless believe that personal taste first and foremost and the acoustic characteristics of the listening environment should be reasonably considered as determining factors for the result of the user's level of satisfaction, but also that the predominant character of a reproduced musical content, necessarily wanting to attribute it to a component, is more than others personalized by the Loudspeakers, undeniably "the Voice" of the transmitted message.
Even more debate has been and continues to be about the best type and technology of the acoustic speaker, Horn, Closed Box, Dipole, Planar, Bass Reflex, Mono or Multi-way, with or without internal or external Crossover, etc ... It is not among the tasks or objectives of HiFi-Guide to intervene in these debates, but our experience leads us to identify a certain lightness of these arguments, and that even in this case it is personal taste that establishes which is the type of speaker that sounds best. Always starting from the characteristics of the listening environment, because love and passion for this or that component aside, it is precisely these that will indicate the type of system most suitable to be used.
